What you pay for
The permanent collection displays are free. Major temporary exhibitions are ticketed, and they often sell out on weekends and in school holidays, so booking a slot ahead saves disappointment. Members of Tate go free to exhibitions.
Guided tours, art-focused walking tours and combined London art itineraries are sold by independent operators, not by the gallery.
Correct as of August 2026 — check tate.org.uk before you travel.
